The role will also manage third-party contracts and oversee performance management. The successful leader will lead an expansive multi-matrixed workforce of engineering professionals.
What you'll be doing:
  • Material Procurement: Oversee the procurement of physical fiber network materials, ensuring that order volumes match short-term and long-term project forecasts.
  • Supply Planning & Lead Time Management: Manage lead times, forecast material demands, and establish robust supply planning processes to prevent supply bottlenecks across the territory.
  • Material Allocation: Coordinate the strategic allocation and assignment of fiber reels, conduits, handholes, ILA materials and physical infrastructure materials to specific regional fiber routes.
  • Construction Alignment: Partner closely with active construction teams to synchronize material deliveries directly with local build and OSP schedules, preventing field delays.
  • Logistics & Staging Operations: Oversee and direct the physical movement, transportation, and warehousing of major materials (including fiber, ILA huts, and heavy hardware) to regional staging areas.
  • Vendor Contract Adherence: Enforce compliance and monitor strict adherence to all established third-party vendor contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and terms.
  • Corporate Sourcing & Supply Chain Liaison: Act as the primary operational partner and liaison between network deployment teams and corporate Sourcing and Supply Chain organizations.
  • Dispute Resolution: Lead and manage vendor contract dispute resolution processes, serving as the escalation authority to resolve conflicts and mitigate risk.
  • Contractor Scorecards & Performance: Establish, maintain, and evaluate contractor scorecards using defined performance metrics to assess vendor quality, product cost, and delivery timeliness.
  • Developing and Building Teams: Encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
  • Decision Making & Problem Solving - Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems
