Job Description

As a valued contributor to our Multifamily Risk team, you will advise team members on processes, analyses, and modeling techniques for managing the administration, strategic planning, and operations of an assigned portfolio. In this role, you will recommend changes to the execution of end-to-end business processes through enterprise systems for effective tracking and reporting.

THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE

  • Provide guidance and subject matter expertise on portfolio management activities that support strategic business objectives.
  • Lead analysis of portfolio performance, trends, and operational metrics and communicate insights to key stakeholders.
  • Recommend enhancements to business processes, reporting capabilities, and portfolio management practices.
  • Evaluate and monitor risks within multifamily assets and loan portfolios while ensuring adherence to governance, controls, and risk management standards.
  • Partner with Asset Managers, Risk teams, Servicers, and business stakeholders to identify and resolve portfolio issues.
  • Support the development and execution of strategies for higher-risk multifamily loans and assets.
  • May occasionally travel to inspect multifamily properties and support asset-specific reviews.

Minimum Required Experiences

  • Significant experience in multifamily or commercial real estate loan underwriting, servicing, asset management, or portfolio risk management.
  • Knowledge of multifamily property financial statements, operating performance metrics, and real estate valuation concepts.
  • Experience evaluating portfolio and asset-level risks and developing recommendations to mitigate risk exposure.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex information, present findings, and influence business decisions.
  • Strong collaboration skills with a proven ability to work effectively across functions and levels of the organization.
  • Experience utilizing data, reporting tools, and enterprise systems to support portfolio management and operational decision-making.
  • Shows curiosity and adaptability in learning and responsibly applying new technologies, including artificial intelligence, to reimagine how we work.

Desired Experiences

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Experience managing or supporting higher-risk multifamily assets, distressed loans, or special servicing portfolios.
  • Experience preparing executive-level reporting and portfolio performance presentations.
  • Knowledge of multifamily finance, securitization structures, loan documents, and asset resolution strategies.
