This role leverages asset data, statistical process control, and predictive analytics to identify performance issues, optimize dispatch strategies, improve asset reliability, and enable data-driven repair-versus-replace decisions. The role partners closely with Asset Management, Field Service, Technology, and Operations to enhance remote diagnostics, reduce downtime, and improve the performance of Walmart's connected asset portfolio. What you'll do...The Senior Manager, General Merchandise Asset Monitoring leads the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of centralized, real-time monitoring for connected General Merchandise assets across stores and clubs. This role oversees the monitoring of fryers, ovens, foodservice equipment, and other digitized operational assets to maximize uptime, improve service response, and reduce operational disruption. Using advanced analytics, statistical process control, and remote asset visibility, this leader identifies emerging equipment issues, develops data-driven repair and replacement strategies, and partners with Asset Management, Field Service, Technology, Engineering, and Operations to optimize dispatch decisions and asset performance. The role expands enterprise monitoring capabilities beyond refrigeration and power events to improve reliability, reduce maintenance costs, and enhance the associate and member experience. What You'll Do Develop and execute monitoring strategies for connected GM assets by leveraging real-time data, analytics, and statistical process control to identify performance trends, prioritize interventions, and improve asset reliability. Develop business strategies and operational processes by translating asset insights into actionable recommendations, optimizing repair-versus-replace decisions, improving dispatch effectiveness, and driving continuous process improvement. Partner cross-functionally with Asset Management, Field Service, Technology, Engineering, and Operations to enhance remote diagnostics, improve technician readiness, implement scalable monitoring capabilities, and support enterprise asset performance objectives. Drive execution of business plans and strategic initiatives by establishing priorities, managing multiple projects, removing barriers, measuring performance, and adapting strategies to meet evolving business needs.
