Job Summary:
Qualitrol is a leading manufacturer of monitoring and protection devices for high value electrical assets. The Agile Product Owner will lead product development within the Transformers Value Stream, managing the product backlog and ensuring alignment with market needs and customer use cases.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข End-user Problem Definition: Identify and articulate end-user pain points and expected end -user experience throughout the life cycle of the product.
โ€ข User Personas: Deeply understand user personas, their business workflows and pain points.
โ€ข Product Roadmap Development: Create and maintain comprehensive multigeneration product plans covering end user feature details.
โ€ข Requirement Gathering: Define and document product user stories.
โ€ข Backlog Management: Own the product backlog and prioritize features and enhancements for the development squads.
โ€ข Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with the Value Stream Leader and Product Marketing to set strategic priorities and launch successful products.
โ€ข Customer Advisory Councils: Establish and lead customer advisory councils in collaboration with the Value Stream Leader and Product Marketing teams to gather feedback and insights.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s Degree in a Science or Engineering related field (or equivalent experience)
โ€ข Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and frameworks.
โ€ข Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder interaction.

โ€ข Hands-on experience in backlog management covering the full product lifecycle.
โ€ข Understanding of the power utility industry and the various Asset protection and monitoring players.
โ€ข Solid grasp of relevant Asset protection and monitoring products including combinations of sensors and monitoring systems for temperature, pressure, flow, partial discharge, and dissolved gas analysis.
โ€ข Proficiency in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and backlog tools (Jira)
โ€ข Experience in distributed data acquisition, substation automation, grid monitoring, or industrial IoT solutions.
โ€ข Experience establishing customer panels and driving user-driven product enhancements.
โ€ข Experience going to Gemba, mapping customer workflow and identifying use cases to deliver world class customer experience.
