OFF DUTY LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER
Post Location: Retail Stores at various locations in Oklahoma City
Schedule: Noon to 1130pm, days vary
Pay Rate: $32.00/HR
Requirements: Must be a Commissioned Police Officer in the State of Oklahoma
Requirements:
  • 21 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Sworn, uniformed law enforcement officer
  • Pass background check and drug test
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Complete training modules within the first month
  • Excellent organization, oral, and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate a commitment to service, organization values, and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor at all times
  • Must be able to move equipment weighing up to 20 pounds

Position Summary:
As aSignal Off-Duty Law Enforcement Officer, you are operating as a law enforcement officer representing your agency or department. This position requires a high degree of attention to detail and awareness, as you will conduct foot and vehicle-based patrols in and outside of facilities to protect the physical well-being of suspects, customers, associates. This position also requires the protection of facility property, access points are properly secured and all areas of the facility are safe from any hazards. All duties listed below are minimum requirements - additional duties listed in the site's Post Orders are requirements as well.

Responsibilities:
  • Report all observed security and safety-related incidents facility management
  • Assist facility management in providing a safe and secure environment for customers and associates
  • Assist facility management in conducting criminal trespasses
  • Detect and report suspected criminal activity to facility management
  • Assist facility management in retaining physical evidence and internal documents for prosecution
  • Observe and report unusual customer and associate behavior to facility management
  • Observe and report potentially hazardous conditions to facility management immediately
  • Write detailed, accurate, and timely reports during each shift that serves Walmart's needs and concerns
  • Assist facility management in the protection, preservation, and retention of evidence and documentation
  • If trained and certified/qualified, provide first aid to an injured customer or Walmart associate
  • Give any found merchandise or money to facility management
  • Interacting with internal and external personnel on-site and promptly reporting any client-related information to the local market facility manager or asset protection manager
  • Responsible for the care of any Signal equipment assigned during shift including radios, access keys/cards, devices, etc.
  • Conduct daily activities while meeting key benchmarks and expectations set by the Walmart leadership team such as reporting standards and service quality.
