Operations Coordinator - JLL
What this job involves:
JLL is seeking a detail-oriented Operations Coordinator to support our manufacturing facilities at both Orion ASM and Pontiac Stamping. This position plays a vital role in managing indirect materials, identifying warranty and repair opportunities, and optimizing vendor relationships to support seamless facility operations. You will work closely with the Indirect Materials Manager to drive strategic purchasing decisions, manage inventory and assets, and ensure timely procurement processes. Your expertise in SAP and logistics will directly contribute to cost savings, operational efficiency, and maintaining strong partnerships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders across both facilities.
What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Oversee warranty and repair opportunity identification and processing using SAP system
  • Manage inventory and asset tracking across both Orion ASM and Pontiac Stamping facilities
  • Execute strategic purchasing initiatives by working with vendors to identify repair opportunities and cost-saving solutions
  • Collaborate with the Indirect Materials Leader and Manager to improve pricing, delivery timelines, and emergency order fulfillment
  • Follow up on purchase requisitions and purchase orders to ensure timely processing and delivery
  • Partner with the Warranty and Repair Administrator to maximize warranty claims and repair opportunities
  • Resolve order issues by coordinating with vendors, clients, and internal teams
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of management, client representatives, maintenance teams, and vendors

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of two years' experience in logistics and material management
  • SAP system knowledge and hands-on experience
  • Forklift (Hilo) operation experience and certification
  • Ability to multitask and work independently without direct supervision
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management, clients, maintenance teams, and vendors
  • Superior customer service skills and client-focused orientation

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Experience in manufacturing or automotive industry environments
  • Strong organizational skills with collaborative working style
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and negotiations
  • Knowledge of warranty claim processes and repair procurement strategies
  • Experience working in multi-site facility environments

Salary: $24.01/hour
