Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking an experienced IT Asset Manager that will be responsible for the physical infrastructure, power, cooling, environmental monitoring, and physical security of the Primary Data Center and Backup Data Center, as well as Equinix colocation facilities. The ideal candidate ensures that the physical environment supporting 4,700+ virtual servers and 850+ physical servers maintains the highest levels of availability, efficiency, and compliance with federal data center standards and customer physical security requirements.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 10 years experience or Masters degree and 8 years experience; in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems Management, Business Administration, or related field required 
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive IT asset management experience in large-scale enterprise environments 
  • Minimum 3 years of IT outsourcing or managed services experience supporting federal government clients 
  • Demonstrated experience managing ITAM programs with 10,000+ assets across multiple geographic locations 
  • Proven experience with ServiceNow ITAM modules (HAM Pro, SAM Pro, ITOM Discovery, CMDB) 
  • Experience supporting or responding to federal OIG, GAO, or Inspector General audit findings 
  • Experience with federal IT procurement processes, including FAR/DFARS compliance 
  • Experience managing software license compliance programs including audit defense 
  • Experience with automated asset discovery tools (BigFix, Tanium, SCCM/MECM, Tenable, SolarWinds) 
  • ITIL 4 Foundation (current 2026 standard; ITIL v3 Foundation acceptable 
  • Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM) - IAITAM, or equivalent 
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) - current release (Xanadu/Yokohama 2025-2026) 
  • Deep knowledge of ITIL 4 Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) practices 
  • Proficiency with CMDB design, governance, and data quality management 
  • Knowledge of hardware and software asset lifecycle management (acquisition through disposal) 
  • Familiarity with NIST SP 800-53 CM-8, NIST SP 800-37, FISMA, and FedRAMP asset requirements 
  • Understanding of Zero Trust Architecture asset management requirements (CISA ZTMM v2, NIST SP 800-207) 
  • Knowledge of AI/ML applications in ITAM, including predictive analytics and intelligent automation 
  • Minimum 3 years implementing ITAM automation using RPA tools (UiPath, Power Automate, Automation Anywhere) or ServiceNow workflow automation 
  • Demonstrated experience with ServiceNow ITOM Discovery for automated asset discovery and CMDB population
  • Experience with AI/ML-based license optimization and asset spend analytics tools 
  • Proven track record of reducing manual ITAM effort through automation (target: 40%+ reduction in manual processing) 
  • Experience integrating asset management platforms with procurement, financial management, and security tools 
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience implementing automation tools, scripts, or platforms to streamline IT operations workflows 
  • Demonstrated experience deploying or integrating AI/ML-based monitoring, analytics, or decision-support tools in an enterprise environment 
  • Proven ability to identify manual, repetitive processes and engineer automated replacements using tools such as UiPath, Power Automate, Automation Anywhere, ServiceNow HAM Pro/SAM Pro, ServiceNow ITOM Discovery, BigFix, Tenable, AI/ML spend analytics platforms 
  • Experience integrating disparate IT management platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, monitoring tools, CMDB, ticketing systems) to create unified, automated workflows 
  • Track record of measurable operational improvements (reduced MTTR, increased automation rate, reduced manual effort) resulting from automation initiatives 
  • Must have US Citizenship; must have the abiity to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Target Salary Range$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
