Colorado Network Staffing (CNS) is seeking an experienced Electrical Asset Inspector / BUILDER Assessor to conduct Facility Condition Assessments (FCAs) at government and military locations. This position will evaluate building systems, associated pavements, utilities, and other facility assets to support repair requirements, cost estimating, asset management, and long-range maintenance planning.
The Electrical Asset Inspector will have a primary focus on identifying, documenting, and assessing electrical building systems and equipment, while also supporting broader facility assessments as part of a multidisciplinary BUILDER assessment team. Assessments are performed using the BUILDERâ„¢ Sustainment Management System (SMS) and include facilities such as hangars, warehouses, administrative and operations buildings, vehicle maintenance shops, and associated infrastructure.
The data collected through BUILDERâ„¢ SMS is used to support repair and replacement planning for major facility systems, including electrical distribution equipment, lighting, generators, HVAC systems, roofing, pavements, boilers, and other building assets.
Inspect and document electrical systems and equipment as part of facility condition assessments.
Identify transformers and distinguish between equipment types and configurations.
Identify electrical panels, switchgear, safety switches, enclosed circuit breakers, and other electrical service equipment.
Identify and document generators and associated equipment.
Identify Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems.
Count and classify lighting fixtures by type.
Assess visible electrical system components for condition, quantity, configuration, and general serviceability.
Record electrical asset information accurately within BUILDERâ„¢ SMS or applicable field data collection systems.
Coordinate with other assessment disciplines when electrical systems interface with mechanical, architectural, or facility infrastructure.
Conduct detailed Facility Condition Assessments of federal and military buildings and infrastructure.
Collect facility system condition information used to support repair project development, cost estimates, and long-term maintenance planning.
Evaluate facilities including hangars, warehouses, administrative buildings, operations facilities, vehicle maintenance shops, and associated utilities.
Use tablets and styluses in the field to document facility assets and assessment findings.

While the primary focus of this position is electrical systems, the Electrical Asset Inspector may assist with identification and documentation of related facility components, including:
HVAC and mechanical equipment.

Pavements, utilities, and other facility-related assets.
Training may be provided for candidates who have strong electrical or facility assessment experience but have not previously worked with BUILDERâ„¢ SMS.

Follow established field schedules, site-access procedures, and project requirements.
Communicate professionally with facility personnel, occupants, project managers, and other team members.

This position involves extensive field work at federal and military facilities. Employees may work in hangars, warehouses, maintenance shops, mechanical and electrical spaces, administrative facilities, exterior infrastructure areas, and other operational environments.
