Job description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented No-Bake Mold Assembler to join our foundry team. In this role, you will be responsible for forming sand molds to fabricate metal castings using room-temperature chemical binding processes. Your precision will directly impact the structural integrity and internal design of our metal castings, ensuring we meet strict quality and production standards. If you have a strong work ethic and commitment to workplace safety, we want to hear from you. Experience with working with air-set resin systems a plus!

This position may require access to export-controlled technology or software source code that is subject to export controls restrictions under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”) and will therefore be required to meet eligibility criteria under ITAR and EAR regulations.

Duties:

  • Inspect crane system
  • Rig copes with crane to maintain a flat, even plane
  • Draw cope from mold and place on cleaning stand
  • Clean inside chills, risers, locators, and any uneven or loose sand areas
  • Clean top of risers and burn with torch
  • Lightly torch the basin of the cope
  • Transport copes to pour floor for assembly
  • Lower copes into mold to close using locator pins and rods
  • Correct any defects with sand
  • Clamp copes to drags
  • Complete paperwork and data entry
  • Clean and maintain area
  • Attend production meetings
  • Complete department safety sheets
  • Roll drags and clean and install cores
  • Inspect all copes, drags, cores, and assemblies to assure quality compliance
  • Seal all surfaces with adhesive and close mold with cope
  • Place sand in the seams and clamp cope to drag
  • Plan and adjust molds on floor to maximize the amount of aluminum poured during the casting
  • Perform other duties or assignments as directed by management
