Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this position will perform non- routine, close tolerance production duties. Operators also perform minor machine set-ups, general maintenance, and area housekeeping. This position will require decisions determining the quality of the products and services being offered. Physical effort requirements consist of regular lifting, pushing and pulling material.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sub-assemble Components
    • Utilize arbor presses to install small pressed fit components.
    • Solder materials
    • Utilize speed lathe to sand parts
  • Final Test and Balance Components
    • Utilize test equipment, balancing equipment, drill press and miscellaneous hand tools
    • Utilize threading machine to repair threads
    • Transport finished components to final assembly line utilizing rolling carts
  • Use air and hand tools.
  • Participate in and support the principles of Open Book Management and recognize the responsibilities of being an owner of the company.
  • Required to follow safety standards. Required to wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.
  • Work attendance must be exemplary.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform set-up, material handling duties, and minor general maintenance.
  • Ability to effectively perform similar positions on the floor at any point in time.
  • Participate in the processes of continuous improvement.
  • Operator is responsible for all area housekeeping.
  • Assist in development of Work Instructions and operator training.
  • Ability to effectively perform similar positions on the floor at any point in time.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
