Job description

POSITION SUMMARY 

Operate assembly line equipment in a high-volume production environment, such as; sonic welders, torque guns, lift assist, and other manufacturing tools.  Perform visual quality checks and adhere to the company’s Manufacturing Operating System.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Work any shift and overtime as required. 
  • Participate in and attend daily shift and department meetings as required.  

  • Must be able to rotate through all tasks in the assembly process and contribute to team effort in order to complete production.  

  • Adhere to housekeeping and visual management standards (5S).  

  • Adhere to health and safety requirements and procedures.  

  • Assemble parts and assemblies to complete finished product within the allotted timeframe. 

  • Adhere to standardized work instructions and quality requirements. 

  • Adhere to quality and production standards.  

  • Propose potential quality or productivity enhancements i.e. continuous improvements. 

  • Report production issues and assist in resolution as required. 

  • Perform other duties as requested by supervisor or department manager. 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Minimum 1 year experience within a production environment.  
  • Follow basic level of lean manufacturing principles.  

  • Strong attention to detail.  

  • Effective problem solving and decision making skills. 

  • Self-motivated and task orientated. 

  • Strong team player. 

  • Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions. 

  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • Ability to lift parts from 10-35lbs.   

  • Full Range of Motion (ability to bend and twist while moving parts).  

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time (10 – 12 hours per day). 

  • Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.Â
