Contracted Material Handler Role, Top Performers Hired
STS Technical Services has Contracted Material Handler openings in Germantown, $16+ to start.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Activities of the position include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Consistently taking initiative to get the work assignment from Supervisor, Lead person or scheduling tools.
  • Having a strong, demonstrated understanding of production processes in an assembly role.
  • Identifying the correct materials needed from the work order, and identifying the correct tools needed to complete the work order.
  • Identifying the correct and revised dates of documents, and changing them if necessary.
  • Follows prints and procedures to accurately and efficiently assemble, test, and safely handle materials required to progress product through its process.
  • The highest level of safety and quality standards are followed along with meeting productivity requirements.
  • Promotes and contributes to a team work environment
  • Assists other work areas or departments as needed
  • Assists in cross training others
  • Willingness to learn and perform assembly functions at multiple stations.

Essential Functions:
  • Must be able to interpret work order/ blueprint and follow specified instructions to assemble.
  • Must be able to safely perform assembly functions using hand, pneumatic and electric torque tools.
  • Must be able to safely unload components onto the assembly line or fixtures and use hand trucks to move components.

Qualifications / Prerequisites:
  • High School Diploma or HSED/GED.
  • Roughly 1 year material handling experience.
  • English proficiency
  • Proficiency in using basic gauges and measuring instruments.
  • Manual dexterity.
  • Physical ability to perform all essential job functions unassisted and stand for 10 hours each shift.
  • Demonstrated acceptable performance in each of the following areas as they relate to the activities listed above:
