Technical Skills Trainer - Assembly (Day shift)
Monday-Thursday, 4:45 AM to 3:15 PM

Job Summary:
Establishes, delivers, and continuously improves technical training programs that equip new hires and existing Team Members with the skills required for Assembly operations. Works closely with line trainers, Engineering, and Leadership to ensure training methods, materials, and standards remain accurate, consistent, and aligned with operational, safety, and quality requirements. Supports ongoing skill development, new product readiness, and continuous improvement across Assembly by maintaining a structured, scalable, and collaborative training environment.
What you'll be doing as a Technical Skills Trainer - Assembly:
  • Partners with cross-functional stake holders to establish and maintain an offline Assembly training area.
  • Works with internal subject matter experts to identify best practices and use those to build standard training processes and curriculum.
  • Creates, updates and maintains training materials, including curriculum, best practices, assessment records and metrics.
  • Recommends and implements new techniques and training approaches to update and modernize training efforts.
  • Works in coordination with company-wide best practices (Skills Development Program).
  • Delivers individual and small group training to members of the Assembly Team, tailoring training to meet individual needs and learning styles.
  • Identifies, monitors, and provides individual training assessment and feedback to Team Members and Leadership.
  • Collaborates with Engineering and Leadership to review training methods, materials and process updates.
  • Partners with line trainers to provide guidance, troubleshoot training challenges, and promote continuous improvement.
  • Supports new product development by assisting with work instruction validation, creating training materials, and preparing Team Members for new product launches.
  • Ensures training processes remain audit-ready and aligned with quality and safety standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills and experience you will need as a Technical Skills Trainer - Assembly:
Required:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum of 5 years of progressively complex and varied Assembly experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Strong proficiency in a wide range of Assembly products and processes.
  • Ability to assess capabilities and deliver training to close skill gaps.
  • Demonstrated ability/proficiency to successfully build rapport and provide training to others.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate a broad range of technical information to a diverse workforce
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan, track and manage training activities and documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, problem solve and function as a technical expert.
  • Flexible work style with demonstrated ability to operate independently and multi-task.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office suite of products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Preferred:
  • Formal training in adult learning, training design and development.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of established departmental work instructions and their application.
  • Multilingual skills.

Work environment for a Technical Skills Trainer - Assembly:
Work takes place in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and chemicals. Ability to use PPE. Ability to stand or sit for long periods; Good manual dexterity, fine motor skills, visual acuity, and ability to use full range of motion. Ability to reach, stoop, kneel, crawl, or crouch. Ability to lift or move up to 35 pounds with assistance. Capable of operating light tools and basic machinery.
