Job Title: Assembly Technician

SCHEDULE: Multiple shifts available

Pay: $17- $20/ hour

Job Description

This role focuses on assembling hydraulic pumps of various sizes on a production line within a climate-controlled manufacturing facility. You use hand and power tools, follow detailed specifications and blueprints, and perform testing to ensure each pump meets quality and performance standards. The position involves repetitive, precision-focused work on the same pump model throughout the day, with opportunities to assist on other pump types and cross-train across departments.

Responsibilities

• Assemble hydraulic pumps on an assembly line according to detailed specifications and blueprints.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools to position, fasten, and secure components in the correct order.
• Operate presses and related equipment as needed to finalize pump assembly.
• Build the same pump model repeatedly throughout the shift while maintaining consistent quality and accuracy.
• Assist with the assembly of other pump types and support different areas of production as needed.
• Place completed pumps into testing cells to verify performance and check for leaks or other defects.
• Follow established safety procedures and proper tool handling practices at all times.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient and safe operations.
• Work collaboratively with team members and respond positively to direction and feedback.
• Stand for the full duration of the scheduled shift while performing assembly and testing tasks.

Essential Skills

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and comfort working with mechanical components.
• Previous industrial experience in a production, warehouse, or similar environment.
• Ability to read and follow basic blueprints, work instructions, and specifications.
• Proficiency using hand tools and power tools in a safe and controlled manner.
• Attention to detail to ensure accurate assembly and identification of defects during testing.
• Reliable transportation to consistently arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
• Willingness to learn new tasks and processes and adapt to different pump assemblies.
• Self-motivation and a positive, professional attitude in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand on feet for the entire work schedule.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing or assembly experience, especially in mechanical assembly or assembly line work.
• Experience with pump assembly or similar mechanical equipment.
• Ability to learn and cross-train across multiple departments and production lines.
• Knowledge of tape measure use and basic measuring tools for precise component placement.
• Familiarity with tool utilization best practices and safe operation of presses and testing equipment.

Work Environment

You work in a climate-controlled manufacturing facility on an assembly line dedicated to hydraulic pump production. The role involves extensive use of hand tools, power tools, presses, measuring tools, and testing cells throughout your shift. Multiple shift options are available: 1st shift runs 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 2nd shift runs 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 3rd shift runs 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Monday through Thursday. The primary schedule is Monday through Thursday, with overtime on Friday and sometimes Saturday required until August 2026. You should expect to stand for the entire shift and work in a structured, safety-focused production environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
