Georgia based Cosmo Cabinets is growing manufacturer of frameless kitchen and bath cabinets with a production in Eatonton, Georgia. Due to production needs, we are seeking Cabinet Builders, Machine Operators, Forklift Drivers, Material Handlers and Spray Booth Operators to join the team in our Eatonton facility. Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced, bilingual (English/Spanish) Assembly Supervisor to lead daily operations in the Assembly department of our cabinet manufacturing facility. This role oversees cabinet case assembly, hardware installation, drawer and door fitting, and final quality checks, ensuring production goals are met safely, on time, and to quality standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can communicate effectively with a diverse workforce, drive continuous improvement, and develop team members.
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise, schedule, and direct assembly team members (assemblers, hardware installers, and support staff) across all department operations
  • Oversee cabinet box/case assembly, face frame attachment, drawer box and door installation, hardware installation (hinges, slides, pulls), and final fit-and-finish
  • Plan and prioritize daily production schedules to meet delivery commitments and minimize downtime
  • Monitor product quality throughout assembly; ensure cabinets meet squareness, alignment, gap/reveal, and finish standards; address defects and rework promptly
  • Communicate job expectations, safety procedures, and training in both English and Spanish
  • Train, coach, and develop team members; conduct performance evaluations and support career growth
  • Enforce all safety policies and OSHA requirements; lead safety meetings, ensure proper PPE use and equipment safety, and investigate incidents
  • Track and report key metrics (units assembled, scrap/rework, downtime, labor efficiency) and drive continuous improvement initiatives (lean, 5S)
  • Coordinate with maintenance on preventive maintenance for assembly equipment (case clamps, pneumatic tools, hardware insertion machines)
  • Manage material and component flow into the department; coordinate with panel processing, finishing, and shipping departments
  • Verify assemblies against work orders, cut lists, and shop drawings to ensure correct configurations and hardware
  • Maintain accurate production records, timekeeping, and attendance for the department
  • Assist in interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new team members
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Manager

Required Qualifications
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish (spoken and written) - able to train, coach, and document in both languages
  • 3+ years of supervisory or lead experience in a manufacturing environment; cabinet, furniture, millwork, or wood products assembly strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of cabinet assembly methods, hardware systems (hinges, drawer slides), and pneumatic/hand tools
  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, work orders, and cut lists
  • Strong understanding of safety practices in a woodworking/manufacturing environment
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, production/ERP software)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • High school diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with frameless (European) and face-frame cabinet construction
  • Familiarity with assembly equipment such as case clamps, hardware insertion machines, and dowel/screw assembly systems
  • Lean manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement training
  • Forklift certification
  • Associate degree or technical training in manufacturing, wood technology, or a related field

Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods on a production floor
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and assist with team lifts of larger cabinets
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and use of hand and pneumatic tools
  • Work environment includes exposure to wood dust, noise, and moving machinery; PPE required
  • Ability to work overtime and flexible hours as production demands require
