Job Title: Assembly Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Operator on third shift to perform essential manufacturing and packaging duties for our industrial product lines. Experience in mechanical assembly or factory settings is highly valued. Candidates with 6 months of experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform repetitive assembly tasks and station rotations to ensure all customer orders are filled accurately and on time.
• Install components into subassemblies and final units by following specific technical process guides.
• Carry out thorough quality checks, unit testing, and the dismantling of workstations when required.
• Utilize various power tools, including drills and pneumatic equipment, to complete mechanical tasks.
• Collaborate with the wider production team to manage parts coordination, painting, and the final shipping process.

Essential Skills

• 6+ months of experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing or production-heavy role.
• Proficiency in using common hand tools and pneumatic wrenches safely and effectively.
• Experience with reading and following technical work instructions and documentation in English.
• Knowledgeable in basic mechanical repair and standard quality inspection techniques.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to lift components and remain active on your feet throughout a full production shift.
• Capability to work in a high-volume facility handling oil-based hydraulic components.
• Possession of required safety gear, specifically steel-toed boots, and a valid means of reaching the facility.

Work Environment

Our large-scale facility features more than a dozen different assembly lines and a team-focused atmosphere with nearly 300 employees. Because our products involve advanced hydraulics, you should expect to work with oil-lubricated components daily in a safety-conscious environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of AMES, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.70/hr.
