Reports To: Production Supervisor

Shift: Full-Time

Location: Tulsa, OK

Job Summary

Specific Systems is seeking a detail-oriented, reliable, and hands-on General Assembler to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for the mechanical, structural, and basic electrical assembly of heavy-duty, industrial, and commercial HVAC systems. These units are engineered for harsh environments, requiring precision, quality workmanship, and strict adherence to technical blueprints and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

· Mechanical & Structural Assembly: Assemble sheet metal housings, structural frames, panels, and large internal components for industrial HVAC units using hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic equipment.

· Blueprint Reading: Interpret and follow engineering blueprints, technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and bill of materials (BOM) to build units precisely to customer specifications.

· Component Installation: Mount and secure major HVAC components, including compressors, condenser coils, blower motors, fans, dampers, and filtration systems.

· Basic Piping & Electrical Sourcing: Assist with the routing of copper tubing and basic wiring/placement of electrical control panels, switches, and junction boxes.

· Quality Control: Conduct visual inspections and basic quality checks throughout the assembly process to identify defects, misalignments, or missing hardware before units move to testing.

· Safety & Compliance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation. Adhere to all OSHA regulations and company safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

· Team Collaboration: Work effectively with team members, material handlers, and supervisors to meet daily production quotas and shipping deadlines.

· Desired Experience: 1–3 years of experience in industrial assembly, manufacturing, or a related mechanical trade (HVAC, automotive, or heavy equipment assembly is highly preferred).

· Technical Skills: Proficient with air tools, drills, rivets, grinders, torque wrenches, and tape measures. Ability to read blueprints or mechanical schematics is required.

· Physical Requirements:

o Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.

o Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods throughout an 8-to-10-hour shift.

o Comfortable working around large overhead cranes and heavy machinery.

· Attributes: Strong attention to detail, a solid work ethic, dependable attendance, and a team-player mentality.
