Position: Production Associate
Pay: $15.00/hour + up to $300 biweekly attendance bonus
Shifts: 1st and 2nd Shifts Available
Job Overview for Production Associates
The Lee Group is looking for Production Associates to join one of our valued manufacturing clients in Sandston, VA. This is an opportunity for dependable, hardworking individuals who enjoy hands-on work and being part of a team.
As a Production Associate, you will play an important role throughout the manufacturing process, including preparing raw materials, assembling products, supporting production machinery, performing quality checks, and preparing finished products for the next stage of production or shipping.
The ideal Production Associate is reliable, safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Job Responsibilities of Production Associates
  • Receive, move, store, and prepare raw materials for production.
  • Prepare and route materials to designated assembly and production areas.
  • Work as part of a team to assemble materials into finished products.
  • Safely feed raw materials into production machinery.
  • Prepare finished products for the next stage of production, including painting or shipping.
  • Monitor production processes and equipment for defects or errors.
  • Perform basic quality checks to ensure products meet established standards.
  • Properly store finished products and raw materials to help prevent damage and waste.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas.
  • Follow all established safety procedures and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Perform other production-related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications of Production Associates
  • Manufacturing or construction experience is preferred.
  • Machine operating experience is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hands, tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to perform basic math related to product dimensions, quantities, quality, and production.
  • Ability to identify defects in product dimensions, color, or finish.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English skills are preferred but not required.
  • Ability to adapt to changing production needs and work assignments.
  • Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to maintain quality while working efficiently.
  • Flexibility to work assigned shifts, overtime, and Saturdays as required.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements of Production Associates
  • Must be able to stand and perform hands-on production work for extended periods.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to frequently lift, position, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Work may require bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, or balancing.
  • Must be comfortable working around production machinery, moving equipment, and other typical manufacturing hazards.
  • Must be able to work in a minimally climate-controlled manufacturing environment where temperatures may become hot.
  • The manufacturing environment may have elevated noise levels.
  • Must be able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Must be able to work safely and maintain awareness of surroundings throughout the shift.

Shift Details
1st and 2nd shifts are available:
1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00AM - 3:30PM
2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 4:00PM - 12:30AM
Candidates should have flexibility to work overtime and Saturdays when required based on production needs.
