Salary Range: $20.80
What You Will Do:
The Assembly technician works in the Assembly department. This includes, but is not limited to installing netting, installing covers, installing label, boxing, tub building, bed assembly, product management and more. Performs all of these responsibilities while creating a safe work environment for him/her and all other technicians.
Primary duties and responsibilities include the following, however, Management reserves the right to assign or reassign other appropriate duties to this job at any time.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and participate as a fully-empowered team member to achieve organization-wide goal of zero incidents
  • Lead by example, representing the company's mission, vision, and values and promoting a positive environment.
  • Maintains high quality, efficient operation of product and equipment.
  • Wrap mattress with a protective covering and sew ends of covering.
  • Insert wrapped mattress into a consumer-ready textile.
  • Seal covered mattress, labeling and applicable documentation into plastic packaging.
  • Box and strap finished mattress for shipping.
  • Work at different stations as production needs require.
  • Operate automated assembly equipment utilizing the HMI controls, and perform manual equipment operation or trouble-shooting as necessary.
  • Maintain and clean assigned work area.
  • Assists with other tasks associated with Assembly.
  • Perform quality inspections at every step in the process to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Trained to use inventory management scanners.
  • Participate in inventory.

What You Will Need:
To perform this job successfully, an associate must be capable of performing each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable associates with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Basic knowledge of PC usage required to include using a mouse, Microsoft Windows and data entry operations.
  • Fork Truck certification a plus.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variable in situations where standardization exists.
  • Ability to prepare routine reports as required.
  • Be able to work overtime on short notice.
