Position Summary
This position is responsible for the quality, and assembly of equipment sent by vendors in preparation for delivery to end users. May also be required to perform minor repairs as needed.
Position Duties/Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Assemble, adjust, and install accessories on engine-powered equipment (gasoline or diesel) including but not limited to landscape equipment, compact tractors, and related attachments.
  • Inspect and maintain equipment, tools, and parts storage areas to ensure they remain in safe, clean, and working condition.
  • Prepare equipment for shipment (e.g., apply insulation wrap, secure loose-ship items, verify documentation).
  • Assist with loading and unloading equipment for inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Support inventory counts and tracking of whole goods and related accessories.
  • Follow all safety rules and maintain good housekeeping in the work area.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • No responsibility for supervising others
Position Requirements
Required:
  • High School diploma or GED or equivalent work experience
  • 1-2 years of assembly experience with landscape equipment, compact tractors or similar

Preferred:
  • 1-2 years technical training/school experience
  • 1-2 years of mechanical experience with landscape equipment and compact tractors
  • 1 year of loading/unloading inventory/equipment for shipment

  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong communication skills, including verbal, written and listening skills.

  • Strong computer skills experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and the ability to learn OE manufactures, supplier, and MacAllister systems
  • Ability to build and maintain effective customer and professional relationships through strong interpersonal skills with emphasis on relationship-building and consistent demonstration of solid professional judgment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Ability to load/unload equipment/inventory
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
Other Requirements of Position
  • Works under close supervision. Employee may act independently for reoccurring assignments, but supervision is readily available for unfamiliar situations or problems.
  • Major responsibilities do not require exercising independent judgment. Detailed instructions or established procedures are usually available as guidelines for most aspects of the job.
  • If an error is made while in this position, it will require some effort to identify the effort and can impact the company financially
  • Frequently communicates with management, coworkers, and vendors
  • Maintains equipment and supplies to avoid waste, damage to areas and equipment, and to prevent accidents
