How much do assembly and packaging jobs pay per hour?

As of Jul 7, 2026, the average hourly pay for assembly and packaging in the United States is $17.14, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $15.38 and $18.51 per hour, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What does an assembly job do?

An assembly job involves putting together components or parts to create finished products, often on a production line. Workers use tools and follow detailed instructions or diagrams, and the role may require attention to quality and safety standards. It is common in manufacturing environments and may require basic technical skills or certifications.

What is the difference between Assembly And Packaging vs Manufacturing Associate?

AspectAssembly And PackagingManufacturing Associate
CredentialsHigh school diploma or equivalent; basic technical skillsHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical training often preferred
Work EnvironmentFactories, production lines, packaging stationsFactories, assembly lines, production areas
Industry UsageManufacturing, food processing, electronicsManufacturing, industrial production, assembly plants
Job FocusAssembling products, packaging, quality checksOperating machinery, assembling components, maintaining production flow

Both roles are integral to manufacturing operations, often working in similar environments. While Assembly And Packaging focuses on assembling and packaging finished products, Manufacturing Associates may have broader responsibilities including operating machinery and maintaining production lines. Understanding these differences helps job seekers find the right fit within manufacturing industries.

What jobs pay 4000 a week without a degree?

Assembly and packaging jobs typically do not pay $4,000 a week without specialized skills or experience. High-paying roles in manufacturing or industrial settings may reach that level for skilled workers, such as machine operators or supervisors, but these often require experience, certifications, or overtime. Most entry-level assembly and packaging positions pay significantly less than $4,000 weekly.

What jobs pay $500,000 a year in the US?

In the field of assembly and packaging, jobs typically do not reach $500,000 annually. High-paying roles in manufacturing or logistics may include executive or managerial positions, but most assembly and packaging roles are lower-wage. Achieving such income levels generally requires executive leadership, ownership, or specialized skills in related industries.

What is the highest paid manufacturing job?

In manufacturing, roles such as manufacturing engineers, plant managers, and quality control directors tend to be among the highest paid. These positions often require specialized skills, experience, and sometimes certifications, and they oversee complex production processes or manage entire facilities.
