Assemblix is looking for an experienced, hands-on Plant Facility Manager to oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our Plainfield manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring our building, equipment, and production systems operate safely and efficiently while leading facility improvement projects that support business growth.

The ideal candidate is a motivated leader with strong project management skills, a mechanical aptitude, and experience working in a manufacturing or distribution environment.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the maintenance, repair, and operation of the facility, production equipment, and building systems.

Plan, coordinate, and manage capital improvement and facility projects from concept through completion.

Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and timelines while ensuring projects remain on track.

Coordinate with contractors, vendors, equipment manufacturers, and internal departments to successfully complete installations and upgrades.

Perform equipment evaluations and recommend improvements to increase production capacity, efficiency, and quality.

Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to minimize downtime and improve overall plant performance.

Assist with the design, installation, testing, startup, and commissioning of new production equipment.

Monitor project costs and prepare funding requests while maintaining budget accountability.

Ensure all work complies with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and environmental standards.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing waste, improving productivity, and increasing operational efficiency.

Communicate project status and timelines with management and plant personnel.

Train and support employees on equipment operation, safety procedures, and facility processes.

Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the facility.
