Job Title: Assembler

Job Description

This role focuses on assembling precision components for large aerospace structures in a manufacturing facility. You will work with a variety of processes and equipment, including deburring, hot forming, water jets, small CNC machines, and mechanical assembly, to produce high-quality structural parts for aircraft applications.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical assembly of components and subassemblies for large aerospace structures in a manufacturing environment.
  • Set up and operate equipment and machines used in deburring, hot forming, water jet cutting, and small CNC operations.
  • Debur parts to remove sharp edges, burrs, and imperfections to meet quality and safety standards.
  • Carry out hot form operations following established procedures and specifications.
  • Operate water jet systems to cut and shape materials according to blueprints and work instructions.
  • Run small CNC equipment to machine parts as required, ensuring accuracy and repeatability.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during assembly and fabrication tasks.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand dimensions, tolerances, and assembly processes.
  • Follow established assembly processes and production schedules to meet output and quality targets.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting on assembly and mechanical issues to maintain smooth production flow.
  • Support aircraft and aviation structural assembly work, including airframe and aircraft mechanical components.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with facility safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate with teammates and communicate effectively to coordinate tasks and resolve issues during production.
  • Complete all required documentation and records related to production, quality checks, and equipment setup.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and quality standards throughout the manufacturing and assembly process.

Essential Skills

  • Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in deburring processes to finish and refine metal or structural components.
  • Ability to perform hot form operations in accordance with specified procedures.
  • Experience operating water jet equipment for cutting and shaping materials.
  • Experience with small CNC machines, including basic setup and operation.
  • Strong blueprint reading skills, including understanding dimensions, tolerances, and assembly instructions.
  • Familiarity with assembly processes and production workflows in a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for mechanical assembly.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills for mechanical and assembly-related issues.
  • Knowledge of aircraft assembly, aviation structures, airframe components, and aircraft mechanical systems.
  • Ability to work a Monday through Friday schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tulsa, OK.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
