Job description

Job Title: Assembler
Location: Riverdale, New Jersey
Type: Contract To Hire
Compensation: $17.00 - $20.25 hourly
Contractor Work Model: Onsite - onsite
Hours: 2nd Shift (4PM to 12:30AM)
Responsibilities
  • Assemble and test new and developing product lines by following engineering drawings and instructions from the Assembly Manager and Engineering Department using various tools and fixtures.
  • Maintain the Riverdale Assembly areas in a clean and orderly fashion.
  • Assemble products using hands and/or basic tools in a timely manner.
  • Test products as per written instructions safely and effectively.
  • Utilize digital systems effectively for all assembly tasks, including logging items in and out.
  • Maintain accurate counts of assembled items.
  • Follow detailed written and verbal instructions and understand basic engineering concepts and units of measure (pressure, length, flow rate, etc.).

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with technical school experience beyond High School (certification or degree preferred).
  • Basic Math Skills (counting, measuring, use of calculator).
  • Ability to maintain a clean working environment and perform the job with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle small pieces.
  • Ability to work productively and safely in a production environment.
  • Contribute ideas and help implement production optimization strategies.
