Job description

This position is 100% onsite at our Bohemia, NY office.

The compensation for this role will be $20.00-$22.00 hourly.

This position requires a U.S Person or a person who can qualify for a Department of State or Department of Commerce License.

Position Summary:

The Micro Assembler C is an entry-level role responsible for performing basic assembly tasks under supervision. This position requires working with small hand tools and using a microscope for precise assembly operations. The role involves following assembly procedures, reading technical drawings, and contributing to meeting departmental production goals.

Primary/Essential Duties:

  • Perform a variety of basic assembly operations under a microscope with minimal supervision.
  • Conduct die bonding, wire bonding, header assembly, and other basic operations.
  • Use small hand tools, such as tweezers and microscopes, to assemble components.
  • Operate automatic equipment as needed for specific assembly tasks.
  • Read and interpret assembly drawings and documentation to follow correct sequence of operations.
  • Assist in meeting department production goals and quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Report any issues or defects to senior team members or supervisors.

Qualifications:

  • Education/Experience: Minimum of 1-year micro-assembly or related work experience preferred.
  • Skills: Good eyesight, manual dexterity, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and basic technical documentation.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
  • Ability to lift or move items up to 25 pounds.
