Responsibilities - Assemble complex mechanical components, subassemblies, and complete machines using hand and power tools - Interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and bills of materials for accurate assembly - Align, fit, and adjust parts to meet precise tolerances and functional requirements - Install bearings, gears, motors, shafts, conveyors, pneumatic, and hydraulic components - Perform drilling, tapping, grinding, and related fabrication tasks - Conduct quality inspections and continuity checks to ensure product standards - Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical assembly issues efficiently - Maintain a clean, organized workspace in line with 5S and OSHA safety standards - Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams for continuous improvement Required Skills and Experience - High school diploma or GED - 1-4 years of hands-on mechanical assembly experience (machinery or industrial equipment preferred) - Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and assembly instructions - Solid understanding of mechanical systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics - Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills - Experience with manufacturing and fabrication techniques (welding, soldering, machining, assembly) - Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a manufacturing environment Preferred Skills - Technical or vocational training in mechanical technology - Experience with custom machinery, automation, or manufacturing environments - Forklift or overhead crane certification - Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and GD&T standards - Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation projects - Willingness to work overtime (up to 10 hours/week) - Regular engagement in strength or conditioning activities Benefits - Competitive hourly compensation (within rate card guidelines) - Stable, full-time onsite schedule (Mon-Fri, 7am-4:30pm) - Opportunity to work on advanced aerospace projects and prototypes - Collaborative and safety-driven work environment - Career growth potential through cross-functional teamwork and technical skill development How to Apply Ready to take your mechanical assembly career to the next level?
