Their duties typically include preparing the ground, operating paving and compacting machinery, spreading asphalt, and ensuring smooth, even surfaces. Asphalt workers often work outdoors in varying weather conditions and need to follow safety procedures to handle hot materials and heavy equipment. This job requires physical stamina and attention to detail to ensure high-quality pavement construction and repair.
