Description
Oversees maintenance of asphalt plants and related equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This role is focused on preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities to minimize downtime and extend the life of company assets.
Essential Functions of the Position
  • Lead and assist in managing a maintenance team of approximately 8-10 crew members, ensuring efficient workflows and timely completion of tasks.
  • Schedule and perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and necessary repairs on asphalt plants, equipment, and related systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to maintain equipment reliability.
  • Develop and maintain a maintenance schedule, coordinating with operations to minimize disruption to production.
  • Track equipment performance, document work performed and recommend upgrades or replacements when needed.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, MSHA, and company safety protocols at all times.
  • Foster a positive team culture, promoting high morale, accountability, and productivity.
  • Manage vendor relationships for parts, service, and equipment support.

Skills and Knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of asphalt plant mechanics, equipment systems, and preventative maintenance practices.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a maintenance team while enforcing safety standards.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in mechanical and electrical systems.
