Wheel Loader Operator

Rogers Group, Inc., headquartered in Nashville, is a privately held aggregates and asphalt highway construction company operating in 13 states with over 3,500 employees. RGI, established in 1908, has the distinction of being recognized as the largest privately held aggregate producer in the United States.

Rogers Group is currently seeking candidates to fill a WHEEL LOADER OPERATOR position at our Reostone Asphalt Plant, located in Nashville, TN. The successful candidate for this role will have previous experience operating a mid-to-large size, wheeled loader โ€“ like a CAT 980, CAT 988, Komatsu WA500-8 or similar. The successful candidate must also have an uncompromising commitment to safety excellence.

Job Details:

  • Full-time
  • Day shift (some weekend work required)
  • Location- Rogers Group Reostone Asphalt Plant- Nashville, TN
  • Wages starting at $24.00/hr (depends on experience)

Job Responsibilities:

  • This role will primarily operate a wheeled loader around the plant to load aggregate products into the various bins for asphalt production.
  • May also be required to operate various other pieces of heavy equipment as production needs require, and at the discretion of the plant manager and foreman.
  • Duties will also include support and clean-up around the asphalt plant, general maintenance of plant and equipment, and various general labor tasks, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
  • Have at least one year experience operating a mid-to-large wheeled front-end loader โ€“ similar to a CAT 980, CAT 988, or Komatsu WA500-8.
  • Ability to perform general labor, maintenance, and clean-up duties around the asphalt plant, as required.
  • Experience operating various pieces of heavy equipment โ€“ such as a track hoe, back hoe, and skid steer โ€“ preferred.
  • Experience operating working around an asphalt plant โ€“ preferred.
  • Self-motivated individual - must be able to perform required duties independently, without constant supervision.
  • Ability to pick up on new tasks quickly.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen.
  • Able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration requirement.
