Asp Net Developer Startup information

What unique challenges might an ASP.NET Developer face when working at a startup compared to a larger company?

As an ASP.NET Developer at a startup, you may encounter a fast-paced environment where you'll often wear multiple hats, such as contributing to both backend and frontend tasks, and sometimes even assisting with deployment or infrastructure. Startups frequently require rapid prototyping and quick iteration based on changing requirements or customer feedback, which means you'll need to be comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities. Collaboration with cross-functional teams—including product managers, designers, and other developers—is typically close-knit and direct, offering valuable learning opportunities but also requiring strong communication skills. Career growth can be accelerated due to exposure to a wide range of technologies and responsibilities, but it may also come with fewer formal structures for mentorship or advancement.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an ASP.NET Developer in a startup environment, and why are they important?

To thrive as an ASP.NET Developer in a startup, you need strong proficiency in C#, .NET frameworks, web development, and typically a degree in computer science or related field. Familiarity with tools like Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, version control systems (e.g., Git), and relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate are highly valuable. Adaptability, problem-solving, and effective communication are standout soft skills, especially in fast-paced and collaborative startup teams. These skills are crucial for efficiently building scalable solutions, quickly iterating on products, and contributing to the startup's growth and agility.

What is the difference between Asp Net Developer Startup vs Asp Net Developer Mid-Level?

What are ASP.NET Developers in a startup?

ASP.NET Developers in a startup are software engineers who specialize in building web applications using Microsoft's ASP.NET framework. In a startup environment, they often take on a wide range of responsibilities, including developing new features, maintaining existing code, and collaborating closely with other team members such as designers and product managers. Their work helps bring the startup’s digital products to life quickly and efficiently. They may also be involved in choosing technologies, setting up cloud infrastructure, and ensuring the application is scalable as the business grows.

About Us

Turnkey is developer-first infrastructure for private key management, making it simple to create wallets, sign transactions, and automate on-chain actions through one elegant API, without ever exposing sensitive key material. Founded by the team who scaled Coinbase Custody from zero to a $100M+ ARR business and helped protect over $100B in crypto assets, Turnkey is tackling crypto security at its foundational level. Our mission is to make strong cryptography the default across the open internet the same way AWS made scalable computing the default for software.
Our team is low-ego, high-agency, and high-autonomy, with a significant amount of combined experience in cryptography, security, and low-level systems. We're building the trustless, programmable infrastructure that will power the next wave of mass-market crypto applications and we're looking for people who want to shape what that future looks like.

Your Role

As an Account Executive at Turnkey, you will be one of the earliest sales hires, responsible for driving revenue growth by building our business from the ground up. You'll own the full sales cycle; from pipeline generation and outreach to deal strategy, negotiation, and close; while navigating long, complex sales processes with some of the largest and most sophisticated companies in the world.

This role requires the ability to operate in uncharted territory: exploring new verticals, creating new lines of business, and forging relationships with senior executives at Fortune 500 companies, financial institutions, and leading technology firms. You'll combine technical fluency with high level selling skills to help customers understand how Turnkey can become mission-critical to their infrastructure.

What You'll Do
  • Build the GTM Motion: Establish Turnkey's presence in the crypto/fintech market, identifying new verticals and high-value opportunities.
  • Own Full Sales Cycle: Drive deals end-to-end-prospect, qualify, run technical discovery, design solutions, negotiate contracts, and close.
  • Craft Deal Strategies: Develop creative approaches for first-of-kind, complex deals; align cross-functional stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Engage the C-Suite: Build trusted relationships with senior decision makers (CIO, CTO, CISO, CFO) at our prospective and current clients.
  • Navigate Complex Products: Translate technical capabilities (APIs, security models, integrations) into clear business value for diverse stakeholders.
  • Influence GTM & Product: Partner closely with founders, exec, Product, and Engineering-bringing market insights back to shape our roadmap.
  • Represent Turnkey Externally: Act as an ambassador at industry events, conferences, and in strategic networks.
What We're Looking For
  • 8+ years of sales experience, including proven success in building net-new business in complex technical sales.
  • Strong track record of closing large, multi-stakeholder deals with long sales cycles.
  • Ability to engage credibly with both technical teams (developers, security engineers) and business leaders (C-suite, finance).
  • Experience selling APIs, infrastructure, or highly technical SaaS products is a plus.
  • Entrepreneurial, self-starter mindset with the ability to thrive in ambiguity and build systems from scratch.
  • Exceptional executive presence, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with Product, Legal, Risk, and Finance teams.
Style Points
  • Experience at a high-growth startup or scaling a new vertical within a larger organization.
  • Crypto, fintech, or security infrastructure background preferred.
  • Technical proficiency and curiosity about developer tools, APIs, or cryptography.
  • Biased towards action & a one-team mentality.
What We Offer
  • Full benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, HSA/FSA, 401(k)
  • Paid parental leave
  • Unlimited PTO
  • $3,000/yr learning and development budget for conferences and education.
  • Multiple team offsites per year.
  • Lunch stipend
