Job description

Casa Colina is a non-profit, freestanding, community-governed organization based in Pomona. With incredible support from our community, we have been privileged to bring the benefits of rehabilitation to tens of thousands of people since our first patient in 1938.
In the decades that followed, we continued to expand our care to include a state-of-the-art hospital that offers acute rehabilitation and medical-surgical care, as well as a broad range of outpatient services that includes specialized physician clinics, audiology, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, neuropsychology, diagnostic imaging, children's services and even an outdoor recreation program for people with disabilities.
Our audiology department functions primarily within our outpatient setting. Our team consists of two licensed audiologists, one fourth-year doctoral candidate, one hearing aid dispenser and two office support staff. Our patient population consists mainly of children (about 75% pediatrics and 25% adult).
Primary responsibilities include:
  • Establish rapport with patients and family members
  • Administer comprehensive hearing evaluations, including Visual Response Audiometry (VRA) and Conditioned Play Audiometry (CPA)
  • Analyze results and provide fact-based recommendations
  • Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR)
  • Otoacoustic emissions (OAE)
  • Videonystagmography (VNG)
  • Earmold impressions
  • Hearing aid fittings and be familiar with all primary manufacturers
  • Perform follow-up validation/verification services
  • Perform documentation and billing responsibilities in a timely manner
Minimum qualifications:
  • Eligible for state license in California as a dispensing audiologist
  • Minimum of one year experience (including fourth year placement)
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Spanish and/or American Sign Language (ASL) skills are a plus
