Job description

Job Description
ADI is seeking a highly strategic, operationally strong Director of Finished Goods Sourcing to lead global finished goods sourcing across a $300M+ spend portfolio spanning ODM and JDM partners globally.
This role is both a strategic leader and a hands-on sourcing operator. The Director will lead a team of Sourcing Managers located in Asia while personally managing select strategic suppliers, sourcing initiatives, and commercial negotiations. The ideal candidate understands how to operate at both the executive and execution levels - translating sourcing strategy into scalable processes, supplier accountability, measurable financial results, and stronger cross-functional engagement.
The role requires a leader capable of bridging domestic product and engineering teams with Asia-based sourcing execution teams and suppliers. This person will serve as the primary sourcing interface for U.S.-based stakeholders while driving alignment, execution, and accountability across suppliers and sourcing personnel in Asia.
Success in this role requires strong commercial negotiation capability, supplier management experience, process discipline, executive communication skills, and the ability to lead effectively across time zones and cultures.
JOB DUTIES:
  1. Cost Management
  • Deliver annual cost reduction targets across finished goods spend categories.
  • Lead supplier negotiations involving pricing, rebates, payment terms, freight, inventory liability, and tariff mitigation.
  • Drive total cost of ownership (TCO) decision making.
  • Support design-to-cost and value engineering initiatives.
  1. Contract Management
  • Lead commercial and contractual engagement with ODM and JDM partners.
  • Drive improved sourcing discipline around MSAs, SOWs, pricing agreements, and supplier obligations.
  • Partner with Legal, Finance, and executive leadership on strategic supplier negotiations.
  1. Relationship Management
  • Build strong executive-level relationships with strategic suppliers globally.
  • Execute structured supplier engagement and Strategic Business Review (SBR) processes.
  • Remove unnecessary executive involvement from day-to-day negotiations while preserving leverage and escalation paths.
  1. Supplier Roadmap Management
  • Develop and maintain supplier roadmaps across key product categories to ensure technically, operationally, and commercially competitive supplier options.
  • Identify and cultivate supplier partners capable of supporting future innovation, scalability, and speed-to-market objectives.
  • Drive supplier engagement early in the product planning process to leverage supplier expertise, technology investments, and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Create competitive supplier ecosystems that support faster product development, stronger commercial leverage, and reduced dependency on sole-source relationships.
  1. NPI Support
  • Partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Program Management throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Lead sourcing execution for RFIs, RFQs, supplier evaluations, commercial analysis, and award recommendations.
  • Drive stronger sourcing integration into the company's phase gate process.

YOU MUST HAVE:
  • 8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.
  • 3+ years leading global sourcing teams and supplier relationships.
  • Strong experience with ODM and JDM business models.
  • Proven track record managing large-scale electronics or technology-related spend categories.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex supplier negotiations and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Willing to travel domestic and internationally up to 25%

WE VALUE:
  • Experience in networking, smart home, AV, surveillance, IoT, or consumer electronics industries.
  • Experience supporting global product development organizations.
  • Mandarin speaking.
