Job description

The Asia Chapters Coordinator is a senior regional role responsible for expanding and strengthening ThinkOceanโ€™s presence across Asia. This role will lead chapter development, coordination, and growth across communities, colleges, universities, and youth groups, while acting as a key bridge between regional chapters and the global organisation. The ideal candidate will be based in Asia and have a strong understanding of regional contexts and networks.

ThinkOcean currently has active chapters in Hong Kong and India, and this role will play a central part in scaling the network across the region.

Weekly Hours: 10 hours

Additional Support: A technology stipend will be provided if required.

Qualifications:

  • A well-networked young person in the environmental space will be given a priority.
  • Should be based in Asia
  • Anyone below the age of 35 can apply

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the expansion of ThinkOcean chapters across Asia (30%)
  • Coordinate and support existing and emerging chapters in the region (20%)
  • Develop chapter models across communities, educational institutions, and youth groups (15%)
  • Act as the primary liaison between Asia chapters and global leadership (15%)
  • Support onboarding, capacity-building, and reporting for chapters (10%)
  • Identify strategic partnerships and opportunities for regional growth (10%)
