Job description

Job Summary:
Independence Mazda is seeking an Entry Level Technician to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This is a full-time, hourly position in the auto industry. As an Entry Level Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing vehicles to ensure customer satisfaction and safety. This is an individual contributor role, providing a great opportunity for growth and development in the automotive industry.
Compensation & Benefits:
The compensation for this position is $30,000 to $75,000 per year, paid biweekly. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including 5 day work week, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as a 401(k) retirement plan and paid time off.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake repairs
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic issues
• Perform quality checks and ensure repairs are done efficiently and accurately
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment in a safe and proper manner
• Keep detailed records of repairs and maintenance performed
• Communicate with service advisors and customers regarding necessary repairs and timeline for completion
• Continuously update knowledge and skills by attending training and workshops as needed
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in automotive repair or maintenance preferred, but not required
• ASE certification or technical training a plus
• Solid mechanical and technical knowledge
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
