ASCO has exciting opportunity for a highly-motivated Web Content Coordinator to join our Integrated Marketing and Communications (ICM) Department to support front-end operations for ASCO.org and Conquer.org, ensuring an exceptional digital experience for ASCO and Conquer Cancer audiences and furthering ASCO's reputation as a leading authority in the global oncology community.

This position is hybrid with a primary location at our headquarters in Alexandria, VA. The hire must reside within 75 miles of our headquarters.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily operations for ASCO.org (ASCO's corporate website) and Conquer.org (the website of Conquer Cancer, the ASCO Foundation), partnering with content creators and other department stakeholders on defining, implementing, and sharing performance insights on content updates. Support efforts to elevate ASCO.org and Conquer.org into strategic marketing tools that actively promote ASCO's mission and key organizational priorities.
  • Build engaging and visually appealing landing pages that drive action to reach marketing goals across various campaigns, programs, and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Content Strategy & Brand Management team to create multimedia and web content that aligns with the organization's brand standards and web best practices.
  • Follow processes for testing across operating systems, browsers, and devices.
  • Build and manage editorial content calendars across multiple programs, enabling proactive and continuous site updates.
  • Track web content and partner with digital content lead to extract engagement with ASCO.org and Conquer.org content.
  • Monitor and report on web analytics, providing insights on performance to improve user experience.
  • Collaborate with IT Operations on ASCO.org digital initiatives, including web accessibility and back-end technologies such as the digital asset management system and video hosting platform.
  • Support quarterly IT development planning, including documenting bugs and new features, gathering requirements, and prioritizing requests.
  • Partner with ICM, IT and market research functions to execute and analyze user research and testing.
  • Collaborate with the Performance Marketing team to define and implement SEO, GEO, and AI-assisted search optimizations.
  • Ability to work occasional weekends and evenings to support business needs.

Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent years of experience
  • 2 years of experience with content management systems
  • Demonstrated versatility in writing styles, including web and marketing copy
  • Experience translating complex themes and topics into digestible content
  • Proficiency in MS Office and the ability to work in the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop and Acrobat Pro

Preferred Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Human Computer Interaction, UX Design, Product Design or related field or equivalent level of experience, training, and education
  • Prior experience with Oncology or other scientific or medical meetings and event marketing
  • Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or biotechnology
  • Affiliation with nonprofit technology or association management organizations
  • Experience working with analytics applications

Compensation
This is a non-exempt position based upon 37.5 hours per week. The hourly rate range for this position is $29.79-$39.18.
The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum hourly rate ASCO expects to provide for a new hire for the position across the U.S. We thoughtfully determine and design offers based on the selected candidate's relevant experience and qualifications.
