Asbestos Abatement Supervisor

Location: Northeastern Ohio (Travel Required)
Employment Type: Full-Time

We are a environmental remediation contractor specializing in asbestos abatement, lead abatement, hazardous waste remediation, and selective demolition throughout Ohio, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. We are seeking an experienced Asbestos Abatement Supervisor who is passionate about safety, leadership, and delivering exceptional results.

What You'll Do

As an Asbestos Abatement Supervisor, you will oversee all aspects of field operations while ensuring every project is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead field crews on commercial, industrial, and residential asbestos abatement projects.
  • Ensure compliance with all EPA, OSHA, state, and local regulations.
  • Plan daily work activities and prioritize tasks to maximize production and efficiency.
  • Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and waste disposal.
  • Maintain a safe work environment through daily safety meetings, inspections, and enforcement of company policies.
  • Train, mentor, and develop employees while promoting accountability and teamwork.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, daily reports, time records, and compliance paperwork.
  • Communicate professionally with project managers, clients, inspectors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Monitor project budgets and productivity while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.
  • Troubleshoot field issues and make sound decisions to keep projects moving forward.
  • Maintain company vehicles and equipment assigned to the project.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and represent the company professionally at all times.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend innovative solutions that enhance future projects.
What We're Looking For

Successful candidates possess:

  • State Asbestos Supervisor certification (or ability to obtain required state reciprocity/licensing).
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Experience supervising asbestos abatement projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and applicable state regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate crews while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to solve problems and make decisions under pressure.
  • Experience managing project schedules, documentation, and budgets.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
