Job Summary
We are seeking a Certified Lead Auditor - AS9100 for a direct hire opportunity in Poway, CA supporting quality systems within the aerospace and defense industry. This role is ideal for a quality professional who enjoys leading audits, strengthening compliance programs, improving processes, and partnering with production, engineering, and leadership teams.
This opportunity offers a stable, quality-focused environment where your AS9100 expertise will have a direct impact on operational excellence, customer compliance, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities
- Lead internal AS9100 quality audits and coordinate audit activities with cross-functional teams.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for the Quality Management System, procedures, work instructions, documentation, and records.
- Evaluate business and quality processes for compliance with AS9100, regulatory requirements, customer standards, and internal procedures.
- Develop audit schedules, checklists, reports, metrics, and presentations for leadership review.
- Support root cause analysis, corrective actions, preventive actions, and timely follow-up on audit findings.
- Provide quality guidance and training to production and support teams to help maintain compliance and quality performance.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary Range: $70,000 to $100,000 per year.
- Job Type: Direct Hire, Full-Time.

- Lead AS9100 internal audit activities and support external audit coordination.
- Maintain and improve Quality Management System procedures, documentation, and compliance records.
- Support CAPA, root cause analysis, audit reporting, and quality performance metrics.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure quality milestones and compliance objectives are achieved.
- Certified AS9100 Lead Auditor certification is required.- 3 to 7+ years of progressive experience in Quality Systems, Quality Assurance, Quality Management, or a closely related function.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Quality, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong knowledge of AS9100 Quality Management Systems and internal auditing practices.
- Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced manufacturing or aerospace environment.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting manufacturing or aerospace quality systems.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance, quality documentation, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience presenting audit findings, quality metrics, and corrective action updates to senior leadership.
- Background working with cross-functional teams in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
