Location: Albany, NY

Duration: 12+ months

Responsibilities

Resource will work independently without supervision and will work on multiple projects in the capacity of administrator, designer, developer and support.  Resource will be the lead/sole developer on some assignments while contributing to a team on other tasks.  The daily duties will include, but not be limited to:

Writing/maintaining custom Production RPG programs

• Working with ITS Enterprise Data Center Hosting to upgrade/apply patches to the AS/400 operating system and its software components

• Refreshing AS/400 development environments’ test data

• Monitoring, triaging, reporting, and resolving AS/400 Production issues, including determining proper delegation to ITS Enterprise and vendor support staff

• Writing, maintaining, and scheduling AS/400 Production query jobs (Query/400) and reports

• Transferring files (FTP) between AS/400 Production and vendors/NYS agencies

• Creating and maintaining AS/400 Production procedures and technical documentation

• Working closely with Corcraft Business in analysis, research, development, and implementation of business solutions, including leveraging Infor XA to replace existing customizations

• Communicating with Corcraft and ITS management for project scope and progress

• Communicate with ITS Enterprise and Portfolio staff for requirements and proposed solutions

• Provisioning and maintaining AS400 Production user accounts and access, including password resets

• Installing and configuring AS400 devices (terminal/printer/printer controller) and resolving device issues

• Provide status updates on a monthly, weekly or daily basis, when requested

72 Months of Experience in FTP and data cleansing and reformatting
