Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  •  In conjunction with more senior engineers, plans, develops and implements techniques and
    programs to ensure that quality levels are maintained in accordance with the organization's
    quality standards.
  • Collaborates to establish specifications, controls and quality metrics, including participation in
    reviewing and/or creating PFMEA and Control Plans. Monitor, identify, fill-gaps as well as develop
    various controls to improve process and product quality.
  • Lead ESC projects on new and modified processes and products following ESC standards.
    Ensure output are within DENSO's standard's and launched on-time.
  • Perform internal and/or external process audits to quickly identify issues and develop
    countermeasures with various stakeholders.
  • Monitor various data sources to identify, contain and lead resolution to process and product
    quality issues. Coordinate activities to implement countermeasures and track effectiveness.
  • Coordinates product testing and teardown with quality testing technicians and develop resulting
    summary reports to management, customers and/or other stakeholders.
  • Support various customers to resolve field inquiries and warranty issues. Develop effective
    communication and relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction with DENSO Quality.
  • Research, plan, develop and implement continuous improvement (Kaizen) programs.
  • Effectively communicate with management, peers, customers, and other stakeholders on
    technical issues.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical or related field
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). Working knowledge with email
    software (e.g. Lotus Notes preferred), and other proprietary company software. Working
    knowledge of inventory tracking software (e.g. AS400/BPCS)
  • Good communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels throughout the organization and with suppliers and customers.
  • Ability to successfully motivate DPAM internal associates in regard to resolving quality issues.
  • Competent written and verbal communication skills. Must be a good presenter that can interpret
    information based on a general knowledge of the organization, its products and procedures, and
    provide an independent explanation and discussion based on the technical or complex nature of
    the materials being discussed
  • Good customer service skills with an ability to approach every business relationship partnership
  • Basic analytical skills with an ability to independently evaluate and develop innovative solutions to
    complex situations, applying knowledge of specialty area and use of sound judgement
  • Basic negotiation skills. Ability to resolve difficult or complicated situations that are often sensitive
    in nature. Recognizes and applies subtle cues in anticipating customers' needs and potential next
    steps
