Who We Are
Tomorrow's most advanced automotive technology is being envisioned today at MOBIS Parts America (MPA). A subsidiary of Hyundai MOBIS, we are a top leading automotive parts supplier. Mobis provides after-sales service parts support for Hyundai Motors, Kia Motors, and Genesis. In addition to the distribution of genuine service parts and accessories, Mobis produces chassis, cockpit, and front-end modules; safety products, including airbags; headlights; anti-lock brake systems and electronic stability control products; steering parts; multimedia systems; UVO systems; injection-molded plastic parts, such as instrument panels, carriers, and bumpers; and steel wheel rims and decks.
Description
The programmers are responsible for direct support of AMOS (Advanced Mobis Operating System) including internal functionality and interfaces with any external systems. Support includes development of user applications, bug fixes, modification/enhancements to existing functions, testing, system documentation, and ad-hoc data gathering/queries.
Programmers support MPA Corporate users, MPA Parts Distribution Centers, MRC, and other Mobis Subsidiaries using U.S AMOS. Support may require coordination with the systems team at Mobis HQ. Support hours may extend beyond normal business hours at MPA Corporate offices in order to support users in different time zones and countries or coordinate with staff in Korea.
Key Responsibilities

Key Performance Indicators
  • Develop design specification
  • Program development
  • Create test plans, test cases and perform unit, integration and parallel testing of all processes.
  • Coordinate testing with client and verify accuracy of test results
  • Perform quality control of programs and system changes prior to implementation
  • Implement project installation to production
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot daily operations, programs and system problems.
  • Operation program & logic research and documentation.
  • Provide support to AMOS operational staff for error resolution

Work Schedule & Travel Requirements
  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
  • Minimal overnight travel (up to 10%) by land and/or air.

Required Qualifications
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience and demonstrated skills

Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of system design/programming experience withCOBOL on the AS400 platform
  • Operating Systems: iSeries, AS400, AIX, Linux, Windows
    Databases: DB2, SQL Server, MySQL or similar RDBMS
  • Software & Languages : COBOL, RPG, CL
  • Applications : Job Scheduler, FTP, Email (SMTP), DBViz or similar SQL QueryTool
  • Tools : Microsoft office, VISIO, Change Management, Jira, Eclipse (optional)
  • Optional / Nice to have experience with working in a Java / Webfront-end environment.
