Machine Operator -Plating Technician IV:
Performs the activities required to support manual and automated manufacturing operations and rotate duties as required. Work includes movement of material to and from machine operations and locations, and loading/unloading machines. Also includes start equipment and keep running by clearing faults, cleaning, clearing, unjamming and adjusting machines when necessary and restart machines. Identifying agents for cleaning parts and rinsing parts and cycle time for cleaning and removing runners and external burrs. All features of the SDM packing station including operation of elevator for hiboys, control panel for weighing parts, scale, banding station, AS400 computer, conveyor system for packing. Proper traveler identification of next operation. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Associates will be trained in and perform multiple work assignments.
Monitor machine settings. Visual inspection of parts for conformance to specifications using prescribed equipment. Records accurate counts and production documentation. Transfer and booking production in the AS400 system. Making travelers in the AS400 system. Making labels in the AS400 system. Proper recordkeeping. Dump carts and hi-boys at machines tumbling and packing. Pack parts according to specifications. Follow prescribed procedures of QS9000 methods documents. Follow prescribed procedures for preparing reports. Assist in training other Plating Technicians IV. Perform other miscellaneous related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
PAY RATE IS $24.36/HOUR PLUS .75 SHIFT PREMIUM - HOURS 3PM TO 1AM TUES.-FRI.
Experience: Prior manufacturing experience. Computer, writing, reading and math skills.
Qualifications: Physical ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, push, pull and constantly stand.
Must pass or hold STRATTEC operator driver's license for power driven vehicles.
HS Diploma or GED required.
Pre-employment physical and drug screen required.
Background check required.
