Network Engineer - Wired & Wireless LAN Support Location: Remote / Onsite (TX, OK, MS, PA, MD, GA) Clearance: U.S. Citizenship Required; Ability to obtain DoD Secret or Public Trust Status: Contingent Upon Award (Expected Mid-to-Late February 2026) Travel: High Visibility Fieldwork (60-80%) Job Overview Prism Inc. is seeking a Network Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and operational maintenance of enterprise-level wired and wireless LAN environments. This is a "boots-on-the-ground" engineering role supporting production, lab, and staging environments across multiple regions. The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic field environments, is comfortable with significant travel, and possesses the technical discipline to maintain high-availability networks for mission-critical operations. Key Responsibilities * Network Engineering & Deployment: Perform end-to-end installation, configuration, and troubleshooting for enterprise Wired/Wireless LANs. * Site Surveys & Design: Conduct comprehensive physical site surveys to determine optimal device placement, cabling routes, and Bill of Materials (BOM). * Infrastructure Support: Support the deployment and maintenance of ancillary systems, including CCTV and VTC hardware. * Field Operations ("Touch Labor"): Perform hands-on network integration in field environments, including rack mounting, cabling, and hardware swaps. * 24/7 Mission Support: Participate in a rotational 24/7 operational schedule to ensure maximum network uptime, including shifts and weekends. * Documentation: Utilize MS Visio to maintain detailed network topology maps, IP address management (IPAM), and technical SOPs. Required Qualifications * Clearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret or Public Trust clearance. * Experience: 6+ years of relevant networking experience in enterprise environments. * Compliance: DoD 8570 IAT Level I or II (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, or Network+). * Field Readiness: * Willingness to travel 60-80% of the time. * Valid Driver's License and ability to drive to various regional job sites. * Physical ability to climb a 10-foot ladder and lift up to 40 lbs. * Operational Flexibility: Ability to support 24/7 operations, including shift work and weekends. Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Haves) * Technical: Direct experience with Aruba networking hardware and software. * Certifications: CCNA, CWNP, or BICSI. * Specialized Systems: Experience with network orchestration/automation tools and large-scale CCTV/VTC integrations. * Design: Background in formal enterprise network design and site survey reporting.
