Job description

AGE Solutions is seeking a Network Engineer to join our team onsite in Arlington, VA. This is a full-time onsite position, supporting mid-shift (M-F 2p-1030pm).

Due to the nature of the work, telecommuting is not permitted, and onsite presence is required. Parking pass provided.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Design, plan, and build communications networks.
  • Configure routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN concentrators for LAN/WAN systems using appropriate engineering protocols.
  • Coordinate and implement LAN/WAN hardware and software improvements.
  • Monitor network performance using industry-leading tools.
  • Develop innovative technical solutions using structured engineering processes.
  • Plan and execute network enhancements and modernization activities.
  • Analyze mission or customer requirements to deliver solutions to complex technical problems.
  • Perform maintenance and upgrades of networks, including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, and remote access systems.
  • Ensure network integrity, connectivity, compliance, and continuity of operations.
  • Maintain backup, recovery, and restoration capabilities.
  • Support procurement of hardware, software, and subcontractor services when needed.
  • Create network design plans and configure data communication systems.
  • Evaluate new technologies to enhance network capabilities.
  • Maintain current knowledge of assigned technologies.
  • Design and integrate hardware and software components for enterprise or telecommunications networks.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior network personnel.

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
    • An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience: 5+ years of related network engineering or network administration experience.
  • Security Clearance:
    • Active Top Secret required
    • Ability to obtain SCI
  • Certifications:
    • IAT Level II certification (required)
    • One current networking certification, such as:
      • Brocade
      • Cisco (CCNA / CCNP)
      • Juniper (JNCIA / JNCIS / JNCIP)
      • Aruba
    • Technical Requirements:
      • Hands-on experience and strong technical knowledge of Aruba networking systems (required).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Aruba certifications such as ACSA or ACSP

The projected salary range for this position is $100,000+ annually. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including years of relevant experience, active security clearance level, certifications, technical skillset, contract requirements, and overall qualifications.
