Sandwich Artist

Sandwich Artists create fresh sandwiches and salads at our Subway locations!

Sandwich Artists are the face of the franchise that keeps guests returning. Exceptional guest service is a major component of this position. The flexibility of this role provides team members with lots of career path opportunities.

Sandwich Artists contribute to the success of the company by greeting and serving guests, preparing products, maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, and handling sales transactions. In this position, team members serve and add value to guest needs in an efficient and friendly manner.

What your role will involve!
  • Greet and deliver prompt outstanding service by maintaining a positive and friendly demeanor and connecting with every guest,
  • Open and close the restaurant on schedule designated by management,
  • Demonstrate a complete understanding of menu items and explains them to guests correctly during service,
  • Fulfill and verify telephone and/or fax orders as needed with courtesy and accuracy; maintains paper in fax machines and printers, if applicable,
  • Restock items as needed,
  • Maintain daily, a safe and clean restaurant, dining area, restroom, and walk-in cooler/freezer,
  • Clean appliances, pans, equipment, utensils, and containers as needed,
  • Prepare food consistently to specified requirements, portions, and assembly according to franchise standards,
  • Maintain inventory level of prepared foods and completes necessary prep as instructed by the restaurant manager,
  • Ensures products are properly labeled with item, date, and accurate price,
  • Handle all food served in the restaurant including seafood, pork, poultry, and eggs according to food safety standards.

  • Permanent Full-time or part-time positions are available;
  • Position is for a specific area/region not a specific store location,
  • Travel is not required for this position,
  • Shiftwork is essential,

  • ServSafe Food Handler or Food Protection Manager completion is required and may be obtained during training.

Work is completed indoors, inside location restaurant sites and inside coolers/freezers as needed.

Team members are required to use Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) provided by the company when handling cleaning chemicals.

Essential Physical Requirements Include:
  • Remain stationary up to eight (8) hours, assuming different postures as needed,
  • Frequently position self to reach items overhead, at waist, and floor level,
  • Move up to fifty (50) pounds,
  • Occasionally ascend and descend a step, stool, or ladder,
  • Regularly distinguish speech and other sounds,
  • Frequently identify small print to properly fulfil orders,
  • Food-n-Fun remains compliant with Americans with Disabilities (ADA) Act for reasonable accommodations.
