We are seeking a high energy, talented, organized and proficient martial artist, who loves people, to instruct students in our new martial arts studio. If you have the requisite martial arts experience, and a strong desire to share your love of martial arts, we want to talk to you! Premier Martial Arts of West Katy is now open for business in the Greater Houston, TX metro area
Position Overview:
Martial Arts Instructor
An instructor at a Premier Martial Arts ("PMA") location is a person who has a passion for changing lives through day to day martial arts instruction. An outgoing and leadership driven personality is a must! A person who can not only teach but more importantly inspire others to be their best version of themselves is required. A PMA instructor utilizes the tools provided to them to impact as many people as possible, is always a student, and never lets their ego get the best of them. A learning attitude is key for this position's success.
The ideal candidate will help us achieve our goals by partnering with the owners and program director/assistant instructor to develop and provide a premium experience for our students.
Premier Martial Arts incorporates a combination of techniques found in four effective disciplines: Krav Maga, Kickboxing, Submission Grappling and Kali which provide students with a realistic personal protection and fitness system for a modern world.
Class Instruction and Administration:
• Instruction of 5 - 7 High Energy, Benefit Driven, and "eductaining" classes daily
• Customer Relations with the students and parents
• Follow Premier Martial Arts systems and curriculum
• Class Planning and management
• Drills for Skills

Training and Education of Instructor Management:
• Certified Instructor Training
• Performance Evaluation for all Instructors

Marketing:
• Distributing marketing materials within the community
• Execute lead generation programs
• Mass introduction marketing lessons
• Setting appointments for Introductions
• Accomplish new membership and upgrade goals
• Develop working relationship with education and community group leaders
Outline of a Typical Work Week
• Various weekdays 3 to 5 hours
  • Instruct martial arts classes of varying ages and ranks

• Saturdays 2 to 5 hours
  • Introductory Lessons
  • Mass Introductory Lessons
  • Birthday Parties (As Needed/Scheduled)

Martial Arts Instructor Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Black belt in your chosen style is Not required, but is a plus
  • Minimum 5 years of martial arts experience.
  • Prior experience teaching Martial Arts to students of varying ages and fitness levels
  • Clear criminal record
  • Physically agile
  • Top-notch leadership skills
  • Outstanding verbal communication skills with the capacity to command attention
  • Respectful, supportive, and fair approach to teaching
  • Strong event planning skills
  • Ability to attend a week-long (seven days) training out of town
  • Proficient computer/phone skills and capacity to learn the software used to run the studio

Compensation: $14.50 - $19.50 per hour
