Our mastery of teaching martial arts over the past two decades is evident in our structured and thorough curriculum, which is standardized across our 100+ locations across the United States, Canada and England.
Our curriculum focuses on character development far beyond the importance of self-defense. We teach our young students how to respect their elders, how to be accountable, how to focus and how to stay in shape in a fun and exciting atmosphere. We empower our adult students with the self-confidence to overcome anxieties and trauma, in an environment that fosters inclusion and social belonging.
Job Summary:
The head instructor at a Premier Martial Arts location is someone who is passionate about changing lives through day-to-day martial arts instruction. An outgoing and leadership-driven personality is a must. A person who can not only teach but more importantly inspire others to be the best version of themselves is required. A PMA instructor utilizes the tools given to them to impact as many people as possible, is always a student and never lets their ego get the best of them. A learning attitude is key to the success of this position.
Responsibilities:
    • Lead high energy, benefit driven, and entertaining instructional classes for children and adults
    • Serve as a role model and character educator
    • Build and maintain positive relationships with families
    • Recruit and retain new students/members
    • Oversee student ranking, tracking/reporting, belt tests, and graduations
    • Conduct group and private intros
    • Assist in management of school (class schedules, sanitation, supplies, inventory)
    • Represent PMA at recruitment, marketing, and community events
    • Complete comprehensive on-going training in PMA skills and instructions
    • Learn PMA sales techniques to back the Program Director, as required
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Martial Arts experience: Required, Black Belt Preferred
    • Experience teaching Martial Arts to children of varying ages and fitness levels
    • Is comfortable presenting to a wide range of audiences; parents, educators, students
    • Skilled presenter and public speaker
    • Passionate about helping and motivating others
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to be a team player
    • Outstanding verbal communication skills with the capacity to command attention
    • Strong event planning and organizational skills
    • Proficient computer/phone skills and capacity to learn the software used to run the studio
