JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The Penn State Berkey Creamery is currently seeking students who are looking for part-time work on campus, at our Creamery Arts Festival Tent. We are currently looking to fill the week of Arts Festival hours first, followed by the rest of summer and fall semester. You are welcome to start sooner, but the dates of July 6th-14th are what we need most. No experience is required and we will show you everything on the job. If hired, it is required to work a minimum of 30 hours during July 6th-11th, and approximately 15 hours from 7/12 to 7/14. If we have opening in our store for the Fall semester, we require you to work at least 2 shifts a week: one 4-hour shift during each weekend and one weekday shift.

Job duties include:

  • scooping ice cream

  • running the registers

  • providing exceptional customer service

  • cleaning as needed

  • following proper cleaning and sanitation procedures

Qualifications:

  • no experience is needed

  • ability to follow simple directions and instructions from supervisors

  • good customer service qualities

Allergy Warning: This position requires staff to handle nuts and nut-based products.
