Position Overview
This Faculty member teaches upper-division Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) in Hospitality Management courses to students pursuing a Bachelor Degree.
What you will be doing
  • Teaches lecture and laboratory sections
  • Evaluates and advises students
  • Develops curricula
  • Maintains department standards
  • Recruits and participates in retention of students
  • Serves on committees
  • Performs other duties as assigned
What you need to succeed
  • Doctorate degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management or Management; or Master's degree in Business Administration, Culinary Arts, Hospitality or Management and two (2) years of full-time industry work experience in Culinary Arts, Food Service or Hospitality; or Master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Business Administration, Culinary Arts, Hospitality or Management; and two (2) years of full-time industry work experience in Culinary Arts, Food Service or Hospitality.
  • All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
  • Experience with applied learning methodologies
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students with a wide range of skills
  • Possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to work well with students and colleagues in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environment
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekend assignments
