Since 2010, the organization has implemented developmentally appropriate programs that support academic achievement and whole-child development.Teaching Artist Assistant (TAA) - 21st Century Community Learning Centers (Before-School, After-School & Summer Programs) The 21st CCLC Teaching Artist Assistant (TAA) provides direct support to actively participating students in before-school, after-school, and summer programming, assisting in the implementation of academic and enrichment activities aligned with the approved 21st CCLC grant plan, school-day learning objectives, and program performance goals.This position supports student achievement and social-emotional development through small group instruction, arts-integrated enrichment, and structured supervision, while ensuring a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.The Teaching Artist Assistant reports to the Site Coordinator and works collaboratively with Site Coordinators, teachers,instructional staff, enrichment partners, and school personnel to support high-quality program delivery and student engagement.Teaching Artist Assistant (TAA)Salary: $18.00 per hour, Grant FundedCore ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Teaching Artist Assistant supports the delivery of academic and enrichment programming aligned with 21st CCLC goals, including literacy, mathematics, and S.T.R.E.A.M.-based activities.- The Teaching Artist Assistant provides small group instruction, tutoring, and homework assistance to reinforce school-day learning and improve student outcomes.- The Teaching Artist Assistant assists with classroom management to maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment for all students.- The Teaching Artist Assistant supervises students during transitions, meals, and program activities, ensuringsafety, compliance, and appropriate behavior at all times.- The Teaching Artist Assistant collaborates with program staff and school-day teachers to align enrichmentactivities with identified student needs and academic priorities.- The Teaching Artist Assistant supports project-based learning, arts integration, cultural enrichment, and youthdevelopment activities that increase student engagement.- The Teaching Artist Assistant assists with attendance tracking, data collection, and reporting to support program accountability and grant compliance.- The Teaching Artist Assistant builds positive relationships with students to support consistent attendance,engagement, and social-emotional growth.- The Teaching Artist Assistant participates in required training, staff meetings, and ongoing professionaldevelopment to support program quality and effectiveness.
