Our cross-functional teams work collaboratively with Alberta-based businesses and organizations to build AI capacity and translate scientific advancement into industry adoption and economic impact.About the RoleThe Machine Learning (ML) Educator supports the content development process for AI literacy programming in the K-12 education system, post-secondary institutions, and industry. Providing exceptional content development and delivery to empower organizations and individuals in enhancing their AI literacy, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for success in AI. The ML Educator plays a vital role within the Training team, actively contributing to the execution of Amii's business functions. We are looking for several ML Educators, including both term and perm roles, who will be focused on enhancing learner experiences, ensuring content excellence, and supporting the overall success of the team by delivering high-quality, impactful AI and ML education.This is a Full-time Term position with an end date of March 31, 2028.The position focuses on achieving excellence in three main accountabilities: Learner Success Content Excellence Team Success Required Skills / ExpertiseKey Responsibilities: Delivers and leads dynamic workshops, lectures, and full courses tailored to diverse audiences Acts as a trusted advisor and education facilitator, helping teams and clients identify how AI and ML tools can effectively address their business needs Collaborates with the Product Owner, Training, to evaluate educational needs and design targeted upskilling programs Creates and delivers training programs and workshops that comprehensively address both business and technical training needs Supervises AICAP participants in the content development process; including the creation of assignments, instructional content, and scripts Builds a reputation as a trusted subject matter expert, providing valuable insights and guidance Contributes to the effective coordination and management of internal tools and resources, supporting both learner and team success Identifies problem-solving strategies while actively collaborating with team members Manages and oversees the timely completion of all deliverables Works effectively with the Training team and other Amii teams to achieve shared goals and enhance cross-functional collaboration Takes proactive steps to inspire and motivate peers and team members, helping them achieve the organization's mission and vision Identifies and implements opportunities for increasing efficiency within the Training team, leading to improved processes and outcomes Pursues personal development and learning opportunities with a focus on collaboration, applying learnings to enhance future coaching opportunities Qualifications: Masters or Ph.D. in AI/Machine Learning 3+ years applied AI experience Experience with developing and delivering curriculum; designing effective learning exercises, illustrations of technical concepts, training and evaluation tools Experience building or delivering content in the post-secondary context (nice to have) Must be comfortable speaking in public, being on camera, teaching groups of various sizes, and facilitating group activities Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and meet project deadlines Ability to communicate highly technical subject matter to a variety of audiences Proficient in eLearning systems Interest in and ability to test new educational tools and technologies Attributes and Expectations: Successfully manages multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Works independently and makes informed decisions through a collaborative lens Demonstrates strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written Establishes credibility while influencing team members to achieve common goals Identifies the needs of stakeholders and creates/drives new solutions Skilled in identifying knowledge gaps and prioritizing learning effectively What you'll love about us A professional yet casual work environment that encourages the growth and development of your skills.
